Transmissions and Drivetrain Need help with your trans? Problems with your axle?

Would Appreciate any help possible VSS + T5

Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.23's
Would Appreciate any help possible VSS + T5

I tried Standard and they even discontinued the part ( d9e code)

Id prefer to get a new one verus the junkyard, Do's anyone know a place i can get a Vss that will fit and work with the t-5.

Other wise i suppose its to the junkyard, Or i was thinking since i have a cable drive originally in it, Why not use a camaro in dash mounted Vss and mount it remote and run the wiring back to the ecm / Speedo itself( still have the yellow and purple wires).

Now my question is do's the ecm then send the signal to the gauge cluster? Or is it a Seperate operation. And Finnally Do's the camaro In dash vss have the same i believe 4k a mile pulse of the trans mounted one?

cluster gets the signal from the VSS and the ecm also gets it from the VSS. should be split at or before the buffer box.

I've seen new T5 VSS units for sale on ebay from a few of the store sellers. I'm pretty sure the camaro's pulse signal changed from 4k to 2k when they went to electric in 90. Not sure on the firebirds, but I'm betting the 165 ecm's probably all used the 4k signal. I think the 2k pulse coincided with going to the 730 ecm's. I used to have an older firebird T5 VSS (86-89) and a camaro T5 VSS (90-92), and they were different from each other. Even the wiring plug style is different between the two.
