hedman longtubes and bellhousing problem!!

Hey guys im using hedman longtubes #68469 (longtube D-port). For some reason the bellhousing is hitting on the header collector not allowing it to fit on. Has anybody used these headers with a standard? Any help would be appreciated, this is getting frustrating!!!

If you read the footnotes in the Hedman catalog you will see that they are for automatic cars only. Footnote number 135

http://www.hedman.com/pages/hedmanmain.html
&
135 Transmission size limited to 700R4 and 350 Turbo.

You will have to trim the bellhousing and possible rework the header to make it clear.

yeah i read that on hedmans site after i posted. I trimed the bellhousing to fit but now im afraid of the slave cylinder (i think thats what its called) melting. It's too close to install the heat shield and the slave cylinder is only about 1/4" away from the header collector. I thought about drilling the holes over 1/4" to clear up some room but i dont want it to angle too much. There sure isnt much room to work with. Anybody have this problem before?

I have seen people use a HYD throw out bearing to resolve the issue. The slave cyl is too close to the headers for it to survive.

Check out McLeod Industries. Here is a link to the page showing the HYD tO bearing.

could somebody help me out with the part number? I have a tremec t-56 and i believe its a 5-speed bellhousing. Is there any other companies that make the hyd. throwout bearing, those are very pricey from mcloud.
