700r4 shift problems
alright i figured id ask you guys for some help i just bought a new shifter cable for my transmission and i put the stock shifter back in, in place of the b&m i took out. well shifting up is really really a chore its like the cable is binding up but i have it routed the way my haynes manual says. shifting down is no problem but going up like i said is pretty difficult. i know my transmission is going south on me and the car doesnt seem to want to stay in park with the bracket on the trans all the way in park the car will still roll if on an incline like its not in park.
another question on the cable im having troubles with the cable coming out of the bracket at the top down on the side of the trans. on the way home the other day it came out of the top when i was in first gear trying to shift up so the whole shifter went sloppy and wouldnt change out of first so i had to drive home in first.
anybody have any ideas for these problems?

idk
could be. I've never had any such problems, I've done 3 tranny jobs in the last 2 years and never ran into any problems. I must say the most important thing is to clean any moving part really good. then lube the hell out of it. anything down under a car gets covered in road stuff and rust. i use lots of grease, even though it picks dirt if theres enough grease the dirt chunks fall off.
