It's a 7½" 10-bolt.

G80 is the RPO for the Limited Slip rear option on the 7 5/8 10-bolt. For the gear ratio you will need the RPO code or pull the cover.

"Codes" are worthless. All they tell you, is what the rear end housing came with; not whether it's the rear that came in the car, or whether whatever it came with, is what's in it now. That includes "G80". All that means is that the car's original rear CAME WITH a limited-slip carrier; that may have no connection whatsoever with what's in it now.

If you want to know what's REALLY inside your rear end (your car's rear end, that is...) the only way to know accurately is to take off the cover and look.

A 7.5 or 7 5/8?
Right, that's the one you've got; not the 7.75".

Right; the 7.5"/7.625".

There's no difference, except for some details inside the carrier. The carriers are the same as far as how they bolt in, and all carriers interchange into all housings, and all gears bolt onto all carriers. Subject of course, to the 2 series vs 3 series constraint.

The 10-bolt is 7 1/2" up to 1988, I think. Then its 7 5/8". They're interchangeable, as said above.
