cadillac engine in my 88 camaro

i was wondering if anyone could tell me if a 4.9 liter v-8 out of a 92 cadillac would bolt up to my transmission. i've been having lots of problems with my enigine and dont have the money to buy a better one as of now, but i have a cadillac thats just sitting there not being used, so i thought maybe id just throw that in my car until i find something. i kinda like the idea because it is tuned port and i want tuned port. and the caddies engine can put out 200 hp which is better than my 170. so if anyone could help it would be greatly appriciated. thanks.

I doubt it, as the Cadillac is front wheel drive and mounts sideways in the engine bay instead of lengthwise in a rear wheel drive engine.

kevin91z is right, not only that but buicks and caddys have a different bolt pattern for the trannys. not sure about pontiac? look in the classifieds of your local news paper for a high performance small block, might be able to get a good deal as apposed to a new build
