Engine: 5.7 L98 tpi
Transmission: TH700-R4
Axle/Gears: 2.77
safe to use T135/60r16 spare tire?

I don't know if this is correct forum, my apologies if it isn't. Is it safe to use the T135/60R16 spare tire from a 1998 z/28? I own a 1989 Iroc with posi traction, I'm afraid that the posi will give out if I use one.

P.S. I need a spare tire really bad, the mentioned spare is the only one that I can get hands on.

As long as it a 16" size you should have no problems if used short term. The small donut sized spares should not be used on Limited Slip axle.
