Tranny keeps kicking out

O.K., I got my new alternator and started the Formula today, and now it kicked out of first gear twice. Not going up my driveway or anything, just turning around in the street. I know my alternator has nothing to do with it, but it is extremely agravating. Any ideas?

check the shifter bracket bolted to the trans pan, the bracket itself may be loose, or the bolt that connests the two cables together may be loose.

Can I see this when I remove the center console, or should I look underneath. I have to crawl under it tomorrow to change the plugs anyway, so I plan to check everything out.
