stator shaft removal

im in the process of rebuilding my 700r4. i need to know how you remove the stator shaft from the pump housing. is it pressed in or is it just a tight fit. is there a special tool for the job. any help would be great.

it's a press fit. if you're not careful, you could warp the housing removing or installing it.
