Re: 700r4 to 350 swap

its pretty much striaght forward, ive done it 3 times now, getin ready to do it a 4th time. u will need a kit that u can order from Jegs, its called a trans mission swap kit. B&M and Hurst makes them. they come with everything to do it. heres the Hurst info from Jegs.....

Hurst TH350/400 Transmission Swap Kit 530-550-0001 $ 97.99

i may have to buy a torque arm mount, if urs is n need but i do beleive that the kit is all u need.

Hmmm, thought it was a long tail TH350 you need. The one with the 9" tailshaft.

Re: 700r4 to 350 swap

im in the process of doing the th350 swap myself a frew things you want to make sure is that you have the th350 that is the long tail shaft i beleave its 9 inch if you have the short tail your haft to mod your drive shaft and as for the swap kit i have the hurst kit and am having a problem getting it to bolt up my holes dont line up with my torque arm bracket also make sure your flex plate will like up with the converter on the th350 i ran into a problem that mine didnt line up so i had to get a new one i also ran into the problem that my starter wouldnt work with a 168 tooth flexplate my old flex plate was a 153 tooth so you can probably see y that my starter wouldnt work on my new plate new plate caust me 25 bucks and the starter is causting me 39.99 at advanced auto parts.

ps if anyone knows a way to get my hurst swap kit to bolt up let me know please via pm

Re: 700r4 to 350 swap

do a . This has been covered many times.

How to do it and the pros/cons of doing it. Unless you're not going to be street driving it, it's basically all cons.
