Hello Guys

I have a problem with my 82 Trans Am

Yesterday a friend of mine try to move the shifter from Parking to Reverse when the car was without the Key Ignition and the mechanism locked and i hear a " crack" noise .

Now the shifter is stucked and doesnt allow movement

How can i fix this?

Does he stucked/Broke the Parking Lock mechanism?

I removed the shifter **** and the shifter plate and there is a hook that suppose to "hook" when you put the car in parking and close the key ignition i suppose.

any help here please? :S
