rear question
alright. after this winter i decided to put a bunch of money into my car fixin up the small things. so the problem: when i put the car into drive, there is a clunk. i traced it back to the rear of the car. now i thought it was a U joint but it turns out its the rear end that has some play in it. now the car only has 115,000 km or like 70,000 miles so the rear end really shouldnt have enly play. am i looking at a new rind and pinion gear set? should i not bother and get a better 12 bolt or dana or something better than my 10 bolt? any opinion is thanked. im in no rush. the car is still driveable and its not that bad i just want to fix it.
next question is about posi lube. i jsut want to know why we need to use it and what it does. jsut curious. thanks

Re: rear question
clunking is 99.9% of the time a u-joint, and since they're cheap ....under $30 for both, i'd replace them first....then worry about a $800 gear swap
