t-5 and 350

I know the t-5 wont hold too long with a 350 infront of it but should i use a higher performance clutch set or just stock type?

Re: t-5 and 350

I think you answered your own question...

Why would you want to put a better clutch on it if you already know the tranny cant take a bit of abuse with the stock clutch?

But i guess it would already be there when you blow up that tranny and decide to replace it...

Re: t-5 and 350

This is the second most asked question, right after "how do I install a T56?" I used a McLeod clutch in my T5 for more than a few years. It held up fine with several drag strip passes on ET Streets. It wasnt until I started running 12's that the T5 broke. Your mileage may vary.

Re: t-5 and 350

I have the centerforce dual friction installed in mine, and I'm happy with it. It takes less pedal pressure than the stock clutch in my GTA, and it engages very smoothly.

Re: t-5 and 350

I noticed alot of clutch slippage into 3rd and 4rth b/n 3500-4000 rpm or so even with the dual centerforce.....
