questions for those who have built their own Pro-Built kits from Dana

im finishing up with the install of the prostreet kit from dana at probuilt automatics and i have a couple of questions. i figured i would ask here first before i bother him.

1. i have to sets of directions for the shift kit, each one has things written on them. on one set it has the 4th accumulator crossed out with "no spring, piston, or pin here" written next to it. the other set of directions was untouched. should i not put the piston, spring, and pin in. im alittle confused because the kit comes with a new piston and pin.

2. i read somewhere on here that if you remove the check ball at the end of the tubine shaft(or input shaft) that will speed up converter lockup. is this true. if so should i leave the capsule that the ball sits in or do i remove everything.

3. do i have to modify the governer at all or should i just leave it the way it is.

other than those question, im ready to finish the trans. it should be done by the end of the weekend. thanks for any help that you can give me.

1. i have to sets of directions for the shift kit, each one has things written on them. on one set it has the 4th accumulator crossed out with "no spring, piston, or pin here" written next to it. the other set of directions was untouched. should i not put the piston, spring, and pin in. im alittle confused because the kit comes with a new piston and pin. Look closer, the piston and pin is for the 2nd accumulator, 4th is not to have anything as per instructions.

2. i read somewhere on here that if you remove the check ball at the end of the tubine shaft(or input shaft) that will speed up converter lockup. is this true. if so should i leave the capsule that the ball sits in or do i remove everything. If you have a 9.5" torque converter, then remove the checkball and capsule. If it is a 12" stock diameter TC, then leave it alone.

3. do i have to modify the governer at all or should i just leave it the way it is. Unless this kit is for a 1986 (1st design valve body) and earlier, you do nothing to the governor setup.
