Rear end swap problems whinning??

I hope someone can help me identify my problem.

Alright I just had a new rear built for me it was out of another camaro. I had richmond 3.73s installed with a auburn posi. It is a 10 bolt rear, all I wanted to do is pull my stock rear out and install this one. After the swap I took it for a test ride and everything felt ok till I hit about a 20-25 mph and I heard a loud whinning.

I put the car on jack stands and ran it and noticed the driver side wheel wobiling thought mabey a bent wheel, put one a brand new wheel from a set i just bought and samething do you think I have bent axle causing the whinning?

I just destroyed my old rear to get the axles out because the cross pin bolt broke while trying to remove the axles. 4 hours later I got the axles out.

Pretty much I would like to know if the axle is bent for sure and if it could cause the whinning I heard. I did not hear it when the car was on jack stands.

There's your whine, right there. Bad move for a street-driven car. It continues to baffle me why people do this, as widely known as it is that it's a bad idea.

No a bent axle will not cause gears to whine.

So you are saying richmond gears whine all the time?

It is only a weekend nice day cruiser only 200- 400 miles a year on it.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Rear end swap problems whinning??

Some more help on this would be great. OK I changed out my axle and it runs straight now and the whinning isnt as bad but now it only whines when I let off the throttle any thoughts?

Also is it possable to put thick gears on a series 3 carrier and still be able to set it up? It maybe a dumb question but somebody gave me the gears and I checked the part numbers before it was set up.
