Please dont roll eyes, 2.73 to 3.42 speedo?

Have exhausted search and now more unsure. Everyone agrees with the 15 tooth drive gear but driven gear ranges from 40 to 43. Someone please clear this up for me.

89 firebird , 700r4 , electric speedo , 245 50 16

Also conflicting opinions about having to change sensor for the 40tooth and up.

i was bored so i did it for you. with 3.42 gears you will need 15/40.
never heard of having to change the sensor. not sure though you might have to...

I looked at several speedo calculators including 700r4.com. Can't remember which one showed a 43 , PATC showed a 41.

I guess 1 tooth either way is only a couple mph as long as it is close.
