Car: 85 Chevy Camaro

Engine: 383/holley carb/edelbrok intake

Transmission: 700R4

2.8 v6

i was wanting to know what kind of transmission comes standard on an 85 firebird? also, what kind of engine swapping could i do with that tranny? would it hold a 350? please give me some feedback so that i can get to work. any and all suggestions are appreciated
