you can get an adaptor plate to fit it to a t5 or a muncie bell housing and use a 26 spline clutch disc.

I think some people recommend a longer pilot bushing, you can search for posts about the ls1 t56 swap. The LT1 t56 requires using the LT1 clutch, hydraulics, and bell housing. If you already have a t5, the ls1 t56 is the better way to go.
I've seen the two different bell housing adapters on ebay with the throwout bearing retainer included.

in the tech pages, under 6 speed swap. it say's you will need to replace the input shaft as well as the front cover of the transmission case for the ls1?
