Car shakes when accelerating

Engine: TPI LB9
Transmission: T-5
Car shakes when accelerating
I have an '89 GTA, LB9 with T5 trans. Especially when I do a quick "kickdown" on the gas it shakes quite badly. There is play somewhere in the drivetrain. It's not a vibration, it really shakes so that even the shiftstick moves. I have replaced engine, tranmission and torquearm mounts so that's not it. A mechanic told me it is the bearings in the trans.
