200C is shot in 82 Trans Am, conversion to 700R4?

My 200C in my 82 Trans Am with 93 thousand miles needs a rebuild. The most money I have at the moment is to convert to a 700R4. I'd really like a T-56, but I don't have the extra few thousand for that.

So, I'm going through the list of things to do to change to a 700R4. I don't have much time to research this. I can easily acquire the proper length driveshaft and torque arm.

Is my only option for a crossmember to use a spohn model($115), as the mounting points on the frame are different for an 82-83? Or would it be easy enough to find a 700R4 crossmember from an 83? Will that even work?

Where can I get a tailshaft housing that has a torque arm mount, if I'm using a 700R4 that's not from an F-body? Any idea what it would cost?

What can I do about the Torque Conveter lockup? Does the 200C lock up off of vacuum or the ecu? What should I do for the 700R4?

Will there be an issue with the center console plate and the 700R4 shifter? Or could I use the shifter from a 200C?

I'd like to keep everything if I am to ever switch back to stock.

Any information regarding the swap would be useful, thanks.
