Shifting at 3k no matter what
No matter if I have the pedal floored or 1/4 throttle, my trans shifts at 3k. How do I get rid of this or at least move the shift higher? Pisses me off to no end when I want to either pass someone or just get moving.

I was going to take my trans in anyway to get checked out and possibly rebuilt when I do the new stall swap. Where is the throttle valve? Easy to fix myself?

The TPS has nothing to do with the transmission. The cable you're referring to is the throttle valve cable, which is what actuates the throttle valve in the valvebody.

If you want to solve this yourself, you could add the TransGo Shift kit for the fix, or the Performance Shift kit. Is the fluid still look good? Did this happen all at once? How many miles on this unit?
