No Reverse!
Hey guys. I just put a 350 in my S10 and didn't do much with the existing 4L60E tranny because it was fine prior to the new motor and only had 88k miles. I put new performance OD and 2/3 servos and a bigger boost valve (along with a new filter of course). The fluid level is fine but looks a little darker than new fluid should. Any ideas why I have no reverse? It just acts like it's in neutral when I put it in reverse...I haven't re-dropped the pan yet to check it out, mainly because I have to take my exhaust back down which is quite a PITA!

Re: No Reverse!
Could this just be a little piece of dirt or rust? I was as careful as I could be but I did the work with the trans under the truck so some dirt could have gotten in...

Re: No Reverse!
Is the shift cable adjusted properly? Try disconnecting the cable and shift the tranny into reverse by hand. Then start the car and see what happens.

Re: No Reverse!
It is linkage not a cable. I can hear and feel the definitive click between each gear. The drivetrain is offset to the right for proper fitment in my truck so I had to shim the bracket where the linkage bolts to the frame with a couple washers btw bracket and frame. Like I said though it appears to shift like it should...
