tranny swap
i have a 1988 pontiac trans am gta 350 auto 700r4 and want to know what it would take and what i need to put in a 5 speed manuel tranny but also was thinking about a 4l80 with stand alone computer system which would be better

Axle/Gears: Yup -- they still work

T5 will be alot more fun.
Once its in all the hard work is done for an eventual t56 upgrade if you want to do that.
i just swapped out my 700r4 now the car is fun again -- like it was meant to be.
