I have a vibration in every gear that starts at about 3000 rpm. Any ideas on what would cause that? Its a 5 speed.

 

Think about it.

What's spinning when you're getting the vibe? That's what's wrong.

If it does it sitting still with the car in a gear and your foot on the clutch, then it's the engine or flywheel.

If it's OK that way but does it with the car sitting still and in neutral and your foot OFF the clutch, then it's the clutch disc or transmission.

If it's OK sitting still no matter what but does it only when driving, in any gear or even if you take the car out of gear and take your foot off the gas, then it's the drive shaft or rear end.

Be logical, and it's not too hard to figure out.

 

Its only when I'm driving the car. I just thought it was kind of odd that the speed doesnt matter.At 65 it runs at about 2400 rpm and doesnt have a shake in fifth. If you down shift into fourth at that speed it has an instant vibration. I made my own clutch alighnment tool. Suppose that could be the problem.
