ok, what did I just screw up??

ok guys, heres what I did...I had swapped a 700r tranny into a carbed car here awhile back.... I used a toggle switch to manually lock my torq converter when on the highway....all was fine till lastnight...that was untill I forgot to flip the switch OFF when I got home and parked the car...it sat overnight with the switch to the torq converter ON....this morning I noticed it...and turned it off...then later I started the car...it cranked slow...and stunbled while it was running9like the cnverter is still locked)....I fliped the switch back-n-fourth...but it still ran like ****...I backed it out of the garage...and back in cause it was stumbling and jerking....so, what did I screw up by leaving the switch ON...and how can I fix it

Depending on how you wired your switch, the worst you could have done is drain the battery.

if the converter were truly locked still then it would have the effect of letting the clutch out too fast when put in gear.(I.E. it would stall) your stumbling problem could just be low voltage. get a good charge on your battery before you try to diagnose.(use 110 volt battery charger)

The TCC can only be locked when the transmission is in second gear or above, regardless of whether the solenoid is powered or not.
