B&M shifter problem

We installed a B&M shifter in my friend's Iroc with 700R4.

All is well except when we try to shift 2-3 at WOT there is a delay after we shift it. We know the lever underneath is shifting but the gear won't change until we lay back on the pedal. Any thoughts? Perhaps more fine tuning/adjustments of the swivel on the shifter cable that attaches to the transmission lever?

Re: B&M shifter problem

if the shifter is moving the lever on the transmission properly, then the delay is in the transmission itself. the shifter doesn't determine shiftpoints.

Re: B&M shifter problem

X3 also did you install a shiftkit on the valvebody to give you manual controll? if not you need to. dammage results in the earlier 700's from manually shifting in stock form.
