Engine: 350 lt-1 crate motor
Transmission: borg warner t-5
Axle/Gears: stock 3.27 posi rear disk
axle question
I have an 83 firebird with the original rear previos owner bent the right axle a few years ago.My question is can I use the axle out a 90' camaro rear that I pulled from a camaro rs or do I need to find one for an 83'?

The 90 axle will work, if you also use the other one and the carrier out of the 90.
No that axle will not work in your rear as it now sits.
88-back rears have 26 splines on the axle and side gears, 90-up have 28. But the housings and gears and all that are interchangeable.

thanks. can I put the 3:42 ring and pinion gear from my 83 rear into the camaro rear ?the camaro rear is 2:73 gear

Yes.
It'd be alot easier to put the 90 carrier and axles into the early rear, and leave the gears alone, though.
