How much for used pro 5.0s

Hey fellas, sorry for a dumb question, can't find the search button lol. Anyways, what do used pro 5.0 shifters for our cars go for? Thanks for any info.

Re: How much for used pro 5.0s

Considering how cheap a new one is, I wouldn't expect it to go for much. Can't recall I've ever seen anybody who would actually buy one.

A shifter isn't a real good thing to buy used, regardless. Wrong place to try to shave a coin or 2. Not as bad as used motor oil, maybe; but not far behind.

Re: How much for used pro 5.0s

Considering every time one is listed in the classifieds here, it gets major responses, I can't fathom the statement that nobody would be likely to ever buy a used one. Maybe I paid too much for the used one I bought, but I gave $150 shipped for mine. The seller said it was only used for about 500 miles before his T5 blew, and judging by the shape it's in, I'd say he was telling the truth. Looks brand new still. Considering a new one is about $200, I figured $50 cheaper for one next to new wasn't too bad.. Make sure you get good pics before you buy a used one though. I've seen a lot of them for sale where the stick has been cut in half and welded back together by some mongoloid in an attempt to shorten the throw more. Or like Sofa said, it has like 100K miles on it. To answer you original question though, I'd say $100-$150 is probably the average going rate for one in decent condition from what I've seen in the classifieds here. Hell, when you think about it, even a worn out Pro 5.0 is probably still a lot tighter than the POS, sloppy factory shifter.
