Same problem again?

Okay there is no way I have the exact same transmission problem twice and it is the transmission. I have lost 3rd and 4th gear again. It will shift 1st and 2nd fine the acts like its in nuetral when it shifts to 3rd. It will however hold speed at 45 but at like 4k rpms which just aint right. If I run it up to 50 in 2nd and go to nuetral and then to 3rd it catches then lets go again. Anyone please help me I know there is no way this tranny messed up it was shifting 100% perfect no slip no nothing. Is it possible that the tcc cable came off of its hook in the tranny? Would that cause it to do this?
