Re: TH 700r4 lock-up
you need 2 wires and a switch.
one end of one wire goes to A terminal then that end goes to one switch terminal, then the other wire goes from the other switch terminal to the F terminal on the ALDL port.
when the switch is off (open) nothing happens. then when u turn the switch on (closed) it jumpers both terminals and locks the converter.

Right. Otherwise you will have to wire up a switch directly to the plug on the trans.
If you're running a carb you'll need to get a vacuum switch as well, unless you wanna flip the switch everytime you want it to lockup.

ok

OK, So it seems that all kind of wiring seems still in the car excepted the ECM wich is gone . So you think I could simply need a swith on the diag connector as the scheme shows and I could be done?

You can make your own setup for about 1/10th the price of that kit, but that kit will work with any 700r, so...
----------
I would try the cheapest stuff first. Try the using the ALDL port, if that doesn't work, try making a direct connection on the trans and using a switch. If that works then you can get a vacuum switch to interrupt the circuit and have what most kits come with. If that doesn't work then you may have to look at something like that painless kit.
