ok just swapped in my th350, it won't go in gear, didn't have a transmission in the car when i baught it, now what overall needs to be hooked up, i have the gearbox selector hooked up, and speedo cable, what else? WHen its put in gear don't eaven tick or nothing. I seen what looks like a vacuum tube, do i really need this to make it work? Any feedback would be great thanks!

 

if i would have mixed the tranny cooler hoses, could that be my problem?

 

should probably try adjusting your shifter linkage first......if its in a thirdgen camaro and your trying to use the stock shifter that could be the problem too.....may need a new valve body

 

The stock shifter will work, it just won't go down into first. The vacuum modulator needs to be connected to a source of manifold vacuum, or else it will think you're at WOT all the time.

Did you put ATF in it?

 

very sorry guys i found the problem didn't have enough ATF. I didn't think so much atf goes in a transmission. I thought 4L tops!! but it turns out when its dry their goes up to 12L, i put 8L in all and she went in fine thanks anyway guys.
