found a automatic hurst shifter need opinion

I found a hurst automatic shifter in the junkyard today out an early 3rd gen
Berlinetta.

It has the 2 handle and 2 holes for the reverse lock

will it work in my 700R4

Re: found a automatic hurst shifter need opinion

after checking it out I think it might be a th350/400 shifter

my friend said maybe change the valve body and a electric OD switch if it's even possible

it sucks if i cant use it lol I paid a whole 8 bucks for it

You could use it if it was a 3 speed shifter, you just wouldn't be able to ever shift into manual first.

Re: found a automatic hurst shifter need opinion

well I think this is it just new looking http://www.rocketindustries.com.au/d...rtno=HU3838520

hmm well going with what Apeiron said if I shifted all the way down it would be 2nd? but in a newer automatic trans at a dead stop ain't it in first to begin with? I'm not sure.....I'm just want to know if it's worth replacing the stock one with it.

Re: found a automatic hurst shifter need opinion

Thats a shame, I'm about to drop a 3 speed in and would have thrown you some cash for it. I don't think postage would be worth it for me though.
