drive shaft help

so im putting a tubo 350 in my 84 z28 HO am i going to have to put a new driveshaft in it i know that the 700r4 and the th 350 has the same amount of splines but gow much longet am i going to have to go with the driveshaft and can i use a driveshaft out of a diferent GM car

It would depend on whether you have a long or short tail TH350.

You could use the shaft out of a thirdgen with a TH200C.

are those in v 6 or v 8 cars and what years and modles are most likley to have that tranny

The TH200C was only used in 82 for third-gen cars.

My 82 Z28 with the Cross-Fire 305 V8 had a TH200C. From what I've pick-up up around here, that's the driveshaft you need. What part of the country are you in? I may still have the driveshaft laying around here somewhere.

According to the "Camaro Tech Data" link on the home page, that tranny was available with 4, 6, and 8 cyls engines. Not sure if the driveshaft from a 4 or 6 cyl would be the right length.

The driveshaft length should be the same for all engine options IIRC.

well im from ct but id pay for shipping beacuse ive looked aroung here and couldnt find any 82 3rd gens with that tranny and id rather not cut and weld ya know and a new one id pretty expensive
