4th gen rear...think tires will rub at the track?

Well I am trying to figure out what i wanna do, I have spent like 2500 on my car with my new moser 12 bolt (4th gen length) finishing my gauges etc. So i dont feel like dishing out too much more cash.

I am still waiting for a guy to get back on me about a pair of 17 chrome SS wheels with ET drags but if he doesnt get back to me I wanna see my options.

If I put a stock 255/50/16 ET street drag radial do you think my tires are gonna rub the fenders. The do stick out a little past and the car should go down the track at about 12.5s without spray, so im sure she is gonna squat.

Has anyone ran drag radials on skock 16s on a 4th gen rear?

Most likely i will run 4th gen wheels tho.

Jay

You can pickup 4th gen 16x8 salad shooters for nearly free, i'd suggest running a set of those, if you have to run thirdgen wheels, a set of "rears" is going to get close, a set of fronts would be a bad idea.
