I want to put a T-56 trannsmission into my 1991 RS Camaro and it already will fit the original T-5 tranny bellhousing will I need to modify my undercarriage for the crossmember or will it bolt into the stock application?

Re: T-56

What kind of T56? aftermarket, LS1, LT1....? It shouldnt work with the T5 bellhousing as far as i know....

As far as i know you shouldnt have to modify the undercarriage for any of them, but you will definately need a new cross member, be it fabricated or aftermarket.

Re: T-56

Richmond doesnt make the aftermarket T56, Tremec does. There are two tech articles on this website, one for putting a T56 in a T5 car, and one for putting a T56 in an automatic car. Read them first.
