how fast will i burn up my tranny
Okay i will be gettin or have trick flow heads. CC 503 cam, 3000 or 3200 stall 3.70 gears ls1 driveshaft, hsr setup and it will be tuned with my megasquirt.
Im curious as to if i stayed with my stock tranny and or tc. How long could i drive it before it gets burned up. the tranny fluid has been completely flushed with a new filter. So it is somewhat fresh. Right now my only problem with teh tranny is the shift points.
I wont be ******* the car continuously until i get teh new tranny, but i may dog it once or twice a week iffff that. I would have teh money for the tranny in like a month or 2 but i need a car to drive with. Plus i would like to have broken in the car with the new heads and cam.

2-3 months if you occasionally beat on it throughout is my guess, otherwise, if you baby it, it could last you longer than you'd think.

In Florida's heat and humidity with that kind of build up? I'd give you a year.
Even if you do nothing else, put the biggest transmission cooler in there you can. I had an 11x12" Long Tru Cool cooler put in. I highly recommend them.

the HSR accepts the stock TPI/TV bracket correct?
i'd leave the stock TC in it. wouldnt wanna spend cash on an custom TC then throw a bunch of trash through it when you toast the tranny.
start saving up for a probuilt!

You will need a higher stall converter. But as mentioned it wouldn't be smart to put a new one on an old stock tranny. Save your money and do the stall / tranny at the same time. That is exactly the boat I'm in right now.
