axle options

I'm currently building a 89 IROCZ thats going to have a 550 hp N/A with a 150 shot on it. I already have a T56 to back it up. Is there anybody else with a comprable combination and if so what rear axle setup did the go with. I've looked at moser, currie and strange. So thus far I'm leaning towards a S60 because it seems to offer the best advantages and all the axles are around 2200-2300 + shipping. I have 2 axles out of 98 LS cars one is a 3.42 with the 12" brakes the other is a 2.73 with just the housing, axles and posi unit. Plus I have a 9 bolt housing and axles in the garage. From the research I've done the power I plan on making is past the level that a stock housing can hold. Anybody gone through a similar issue?

Re: axle options

I'd recommend a 9" or a 12 bolt. The Dana 60 is overkill even for my car. I ran that much power through a beefed up 10 bolt with no problems.
