autometer vss

how many pulse does the autometer vss send per mile? it say 16 per revolion? i know i need 2000 per mile on the stock 85 camaro.

Each time the sensor spindle makes 1 revolution there are 16 pulses for the autometer sender, or 16,000 per mile, a stock 2 pulse (early f body) sender is 2 pulses per revolution or 2000 per mile, later thirdgen is 4 pulse / rev, or 4000 pulse per mile, so no an autometer sending unit wouldnt work with your stock computer.

would i be able to see that with a scan tool? i just switch to a autometer speedometer and would like to check that i wired it right to the ecu. Also how can you measure pulses???
