Re: body twist?

the trans swap shouldn't have anything to do with your doors sagging.

Doors sagging is a very common problem on our 3rd gens, new "joints" sorry I can't believe I can't remember the name (early) they have greasable ones that I've heard are the best ones to get to solve the sag in the doors.

mcgarnicle, you silly rabbit! Door hinge. Here're several kits from TDS:

Re: body twist?

before the manual the doors were fine. after driving with the manual, the doors hang up? its not too bad, but there is a difference.

Re: body twist?

The tranny (logically) shouldn't have made a difference. I'd guess the doors are just a bit tweaked. You can get Lons tool to "bend" the door up higher, but it's better to get new hinges, then bend them if need be.
Andyz28 makes the kit as well I think, Lon might be selling Andy's kit IIRC.

Did you use jacks and jackstands to do the swap? How long was it up in the air if it was on stands. I would think these things could have affected the doors, if it were lifted wrong, or sat in the air for quite some time.
