why me

ok i gota 305 700r4 tranny and its having an issue. when i stomp the gas itll shift great threw 1&2 but as it gets ready to go into 3rd it wont shift unless i let off the gas and stomp it again. wtf is going on? im at wits end with it. any help is appreciated

to check the tv cable you pull your throttle wide open then take your finger and see if you can pull the cable any further at wide open throttle you should not be able to pull it any further if you can pull it out further you will need to push the button on the cable down then move it in or out depending if it is too tight or to loose

It will smoke your 3/4 clutch pack if it is loose, You want the cable to be tight.

there is a bracket that the cable runs thru from your transmission to your carburator or throttle body at the bracket there is a button on the cable push it down;on the other side of the bracket you will see a plastic sleve that sticks out over the cable this is your adjustment.if your cable is too loose you push the plastic sleve back towards fire wall , if it is to tight you move the sleve out towards front of car
