bellhousing issues

ok im having trouble fitting my wc t5 bellhousing to my 350 it seems like its not clearing the flywheel, its a Ram flywheel, part number 1501 , imm alsso running a ram clutch w/ a sintered iron disc, am i crazy or is there a valid reason. its also as if its not lining up with the dowel pins on the motor.
OR is there a different housing i should buy. i.e. lakewood scatter shield

ps. anyone know at what time you need a scatter shield to pass tech??
thanks for the assistance

Re: bellhousing issues

i could be wrong, but i believe you can only use a 153 tooth flywheel, not a 168. I just like the piece of mind of having a shattershield, i like my feet

Re: bellhousing issues

well, i put in a scatteshield and btw, my clutch is 11 inches not the normal 10.4 , i guess thats why it wouldnt clear a factory housing but now i got other problems i cant install the trans . it doesnt go in all the way, i replared the pilot bearing figureing it wasnt correct (summit delvered wrong part) but it stilll doesnt go in. clutch is properly lined up. overall the scatter shield is deeper thrrow out bearing is the correct anyone ever run a ram clutch with a 11 clutch ?? any install problems running out of ideas........ it looks out by 1/8 or 3/16 sorry no pics lost camera charger
