I was on my way home from a local car show, and decided to floor it since there's an open highway dead ahead. It shifts great all the way up till 4th at around 3500 rpms, and then I come slowly to a stop. When I accelerate at a regular rate again, (in OD) it keeps turning rpms' like there's nothing left but 1st! It went all the way to 4000 without shifing up! I have absolutely no idea what is causing this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. ( Current tranny mods are: 500 boost valve, 26K stall, shift kit, kevlar clutches and aluminum driveshaft)

The governor gear is most likely stripped or broken. Solution, pull governor and replace the gear, make sure you put a O-ring on the governor cover on the install. Hit the outside of the governor cover only when putting it back in.

This happened to my 700r4 and it was the governor gear that needed replacement.
