Engine: 350 tuned port. bolt ons

Transmission: 700r4

Axle/Gears: 3.73

trans mount

I just picked up a 1989 trans am gta 1 week ago. now if I gas it at a stop I here a loud clunk under the tranny. the guy who sold me the car said its the trans mount. I have some questions. were is it located.{my repair manual don,t say anything about them} can the nomal guy fix this with your basic hand tools. and how much and were do i get them. thanks any info will help.

Check your torque arm mount first.

Yours probably won't look exactly like the one in the following pic (won't have the donuts on the outsides or the second cross member), but it'll provide an idea of location:

A normal guy can do the swap--probably take longer to jack the car up than do the replacement. Basic hand tools. You should be able to purchase at Autozone, etc.
