I'm in the middle of my B&M megashifter install and reading that without a shift kit it doesn't really improve shifts, just makes it funner. I was wondering how does a shift kit help and how is the install?thanks.

a firmer shift
1.is a performance gain=faster shift
2.adds longevity=higher line pressures=less slipping changing gear
3.very simple install
as far as the megashifter
i put one in as well the main reason is cause i could not manually shift from 1st to 2nd withought going past 2nd and directly into 3rd
so greater shift control in manual mode
can i also recomend getting the 2-4 corvette servo as well=better/crisper 3rd gear shift all work is done outside the trans for this one

If you use my kit, it has the Corvette servo, the setup for a smoother 1-2 part throttle shift, new accumulator pistons, seals and pins, larger boost valves, Viton D-rings, Torlon checkballs, etc. Go to https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/prod...&cat=65&page=1 This is the most complete TransGo Shift kit out there. To install these parts and the corvette servo is it done by dropping the hole tranny or just taking the pan off. I dropped my tranny to install B&M torque converter and don't wanna go through that again. Thanks for the replies.

Does anyone know what i have to do to replace the spindle for the shift lever on the side of the tran that moves to switch gears I think i tightened the lever onto the spindle too tight and it won't move smoothly.
