a little help with gear change and speedo gear
ok, i need help, i swapped a rear end from a 90 iroc with 3.27 gears into a 92 rs, it had a drum rear with a 2. 7 d something gear, my question is(ive heard that you have to change the speedo plastic gear in the 700 because theres no cable for the speedo,????) how and where if this is true do i find this gear on the trans, location, removal, anything would help. thank you

Re: a little help with gear change and speedo gear
You'll need to find out what speedo gears you have. You can check this by removing your speed sensor and looking at the gear on it and the gear on the output shaft. If you go to the web site for PATC (they sell trans parts) they have a chart that will tell you what gear you need based on rear end ratio & tire size.
