Car: 85 z-28 and 96 z-28
Engine: 383 storker and a 350LT1
Transmission: 700R4 and 4L60E
Axle/Gears: 3.23 and 3.73
trany help

I just bought an 85 z-28 and it has a 700r4 trany in it with a B&M shift kit in it. well the car dont shift unless its pushing 4000 rpms or higher so i think the Kick down cable is not ajusted right i had to swich carbs on it cuz the old one was crap and since then it wont shift right so how do u ajust the kick down cable and to see pics of my new car go to http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3090728 and please tell me what u think i got the car for 1700

on the 700r4 it isn't a kickdown cable. it is a tv cable. you are right, that sounds like your problem though the how to adjust part is covered lots of times. the search function will pull up lots of results with keywords such as "tv cable adjustment".

well the car shifts better when its warm is that still the tv cable or is there something else wrong with it
