Have you needed a longer clutch adjusting rod?

I replaced everything to do with standard on my 83 Trans Am. rebuilt T5 with new gears,shafts,mesh,bellhousing,clutch crossbar, adjusting rod, clutch fork, and springs, but i still need more rod to adjust it better, has this been a problem for you?

I've run an 83 bellhousing in a G-body with an OEM adjusting rod and I have the speed direct one now (but I changed bell & trans. to a custom mechanical 1995 T56)

There are multiple height ballstuds and you may have an incorrect one. How's clearance of the fork to the bell?

the ballstuds came new with the crossbar specifically for the 83
