Tips for swapping 9 in center section

I want to swap my 9 inch center section with rear end in the car.

Any tips?

Car is on jackstands.

My main question is how to put the new unit in while keeping my fingers and not dropping it on my face.

I thought of making a jig to rest it on my jack.

Please chime in with best practices!

Rest it on the jack, and use a prybar/screwdriver to slide it slowly off the studs. Don't pry it hard, you may damage something, but that way you can slide it off slowly enough to keep it in control, and maybe keep a hand on top to secure it too.

I've just rested it on the jack in the past. I've seen an adapter for a floor jack that bolts to the center section, can't remember who has them.

It's only about 40-50 pounds. I just lift mine up and pop it in and I don't have an aluminum center section yet.
