Who has a Pro-Built tranny???????
Hi! I am finally ready to replace the wasted 700R4 in my IROC and I was thinking of going with a Pro-Built trans. Their prices are great and the owner was very helpful to me when I had a TV cable question a few months ago. My questions are these. How do you like your trans, would you recommend them, and what kind of power are you making? I have a strong 383 in my IROC and I need the tranny to be fairly stout. Let me know how your Pro-Built tranny is holding up. Thanks guys!!!!

Hey Gary,
I have a stage II in back on my 400.....so far so good:-) I have been really happy with this tranny. I had some lengthy conversations with Dana before he built the tranny letting him know how I wanted it to perform.....well, it does everything he said it would do, so I'm happy.
HTH,
James

Hey Dana - no blast intended there - just commented - I know people can get busy... Anyhow, I had spoken to you once at the first part of the month, just couldn't seem to get ahold of you afterwards - no big deal. I had that "shuddering" problem with my car, which you thought may have been the tc, and to make a long story short, it wasn't. Actually, I'm still working on that, but in the meantime I pulled the tranny, had it rebuilt (just stock) and it's all back together. When I couldn't get ahold of you, I tried some other places. I've got another suspected culprit and hopefully tonight I'll know if it's a fix or not. I'm about tired of it, almost ready to haul it off. I suppose it would look pretty good going down the road since I polished and waxed it yesterday... Oh well - news at 11...

Dana, just the man I wanted to talk to. What is the top end on the horsepower range that your company can build a 700R4 to hold??? Can you build one to hold a 6-700 Hp Big Block?? If so, I would be very intersted.
Thanks
