Muncie 4-speed
My diving coach has a 550+HP 383 stroker, attached to a Muncie 4-speed. Engine has never been run since being built, and Muncie has been beefed up to handle all that extra horse. My coach was going to put it into his '55 he's building, but he's since decided to not use it. He's going to sell the package to me for $1000-1500, both engine and tranny.
My question is this: how much of a bitch will it be to install the Muncie? I know it's going to be HARD as HELL, I just want to know what degree of difficulty we're talking here. My coach also has a shop, so he'll help me with the installation. Any comments welcomed. Thanks

You need at least a bellhousing for a third gen. The one he's selling will have a clutch fork coming straight off the side of the bellhousing. This will sit right where your right foot sits on the gas pedal. The 3rd gen bellhousing has the clutch fork angled down 45 degrees to clear the floorboards.
As for clutch linkage or hydraulic lines, clutch pedals, and shifter installation I can't help you. I was tempted to to a similar swap but decided on a TH350 instead.
