When mine broke I noticed that under heavy acceleration there would be a loud BANG.

Your shifter will move up and down a lot.

Mash the gas with your hand on the shifter. It will move up and down more then normal. And if it is broken all the way,It will bang against the floorpan pretty loud.
Just don't punch the gas TOO hard.

Well, my transmission "banged" around in the transmission tunnel under heavy acceleration! If you want to check and see if is broken, jack up your car, take a pry bar and see if you can move the rear of the transmission/the tail shaft area. If it's broken, you will also notice that the rubber portion of the mount will have separated form the metal mounting plate. If it's broken, I suggest you put in a energy susp. mount - it's pretty tough, I have had mine now for 3 years/5,000 burn outs!!

When I broke mine, like everyone said, under hard acceleration it sounded like something was going to come up through the floor. Get under the car and push up on the tranny to see if it is seperated. If so, buy the energy suspension one from summit, it is stronger than stock and costs half as much. They also come in cool colors so you have pretty stuff to look at when you're under your car.

yes, pretty stuff! I have heard a lot of good things about engery tranny and engine mounts. I now think it is my tranny mount that is at the beggining signs of dying and not my torque arm. Thanks guys
